Flagler County, Florida Fire Department

• August 30, 2009, no increase

• The three-year agreement does not include raises for the coming year but allows for annual negotiations.
• The contract will switch fire-rescue employees to a 53/3 plan, which reflects a 53-hour workweek with three hours’ overtime.

Fort Wayne, Indiana Fire Department

• 2010, 1.5%

• Raises for 2011 and 2012 to be determined at a later date.

Jacksonville Beach, Florida Police Department

• No cost-of-living increase

• Under the new contract, officers will still be eligible for a 3% – 6% merit pay increase based on performance and rank.

Longmont, Colorado Fire Department

• January 1, 2010, no increase

• The new contract will increase the City’s contributions to the employees’ retirement health savings accounts and lengthens the time a firefighter can be on leave to recover from an injury.

Longmont, Colorado Police Department

• January 1, 2010, no increase

• The one-year agreement outlines pay for specialty positions, such as field training officers, canine officers and those who are bilingual.

Placer County, California Sheriff’s Office

• No increase in contract. Deputies received 6.3% increase in February from voter-approved ballot measure.

• The new agreement requires deputies to pay 20% of health insurance premium on average.

St. Charles, Illinois Police Department

• May 1, 2009, no increase
• May 1, 2010, 3.75%
• May 1, 2011, 4%
• May 1, 2012, 4.25%

• The new agreement also includes a modification in the grievance procedure regarding discipline, a modification in how officers receive replacement uniforms and equipment, and clarifications regarding how lay-offs may be implemented by the City.
