Albany County, New York Sheriff’s Office	• January 1, 2008, $1,500 • January 1, 2009, 3%	• Under new contract, deputies are now eligible for retirement after 20 years of service instead of the previous requirement of 25 years of service.
Austintown, Ohio Police Department	• 2007, 2% • 2008, 4% • 2009, 4%	• Under the new contract, employees will now pay a portion of group medical premiums.
Indianapolis, Indiana Fire Department	• January 1, 2008, 3% • January 1, 2009, 4% • January 1, 2010, 5%	Implementation of the contract is contingent upon three separate legislative measures, including one that would merge the County’s fire departments.
Manteca, California Fire Department	• January 2007, 4% • January 2008, 4% • January 2009, 4% • January 2010, 4% • January 2011, 4%	• Under the new contract, the City will double its monthly family contribution for health insurance from $525 to $1,050.
Newark, Ohio Fire Department	• January 1, 2007, 1% • January 1, 2008, 3% • January 1, 2009, 2.5%	• City will increase contribution to PERS by 1% in 2007 and 2009.

Saratoga County, New York Sheriff’s Office	• 3.8% annual increases from 2005 to 2008.	• Union members will make co-payments for medical care and prescription drugs as well as a prescription drug card.
